We are entering the final stretch of the season with only six weeks remaining on the regular season. This week has one of the most pivotal games in deciding NFC seeding when the 49ers visit the Eagles for an NFC Championship rematch. Below you will find my pick for that game and the rest of week 13.

Thursday, November 30

Cowboys 27, Seahawks 17

The Cowboys are playing as well as anyone right now and the Seahawks are starting to fade in recent weeks. The Cowboys pass game has been on fire lately, but don’t overlook the resurgent Dallas run game. The Seahawks are going to need to do a lot better against the run than they did last week when Christian McCaffrey gashed them. They may not be able to commit extra resources to stopping the run considering how dangerous the Cowboys are at attacking through the air. Even if Seattle slows the Cowboys offense, I’m skeptical their offense can score enough.

Sunday, December 3

Chargers 24, Patriots 16

The Patriots QB situation is a mess right now and at this point there isn’t much they can do to improve their offense. Meanwhile, the Chargers need to get this win after playing a competitive game against Baltimore last week but falling short. Khalil Mack is playing really well right now and will affect whoever is under center for New England. For the Patriots defense, the key to containing the Chargers offense is taking away Keenan Allen and Austin Ekeler. Easier said than done, but they need to force the other players on offense to step up.

Lions 30, Saints 16

The Saints are extremely banged up as they could be without WRs Chris Olave and Rashid Shaheed as well as having Michael Thomas already on IR. That’s tough for the Saints who could’ve really attacked a Lions secondary that’s given up big plays in recent weeks. For the Lions, they should look to exploit the outside run game as Atlanta did last week to gash New Orleans. If Detroit wants to avoid an upset, Jared Goff must also play cleaner and avoid turnovers. This New Orleans defense relies on getting turnovers to win and they are going to need to continue that to give the offense more opportunities.

Jets 17, Falcons 13

If the Jets want to have any playoff shot and want to get Aaron Rodgers to return, they need to win this game. The Falcons offense is still turnover prone and won’t be able to consistently move the ball on the Jets. The Jets offense didn’t look any better with Tim Boyle at QB last week, with penalties and an inefficient running game preventing him from getting much going. I think the Jets find a way to score enough points this week and for Garrett Wilson to have a big game in the process.

Steelers 24, Cardinals 20

The Steelers offense finally accumulated over 400 yards of offense for the first time 2020 last week! A big part of that was utilizing Pat Freiermuth in the middle of the field. The Steelers need to continue to progress this week and the next step would be able to score more points as they still only scored 16 last week. The challenge for the Steelers defense is containing Kyler Murray as it is for everyone, but the D-line should be able to attack the middle of the Arizona O-line like the Rams did and make Murray uncomfortable.

Colts 23, Titans 20

The Colts will be without Jonathan Taylor for a few weeks but that shouldn’t be a huge loss considering how well Zack Moss has played this season. One of the best matchups of this game will be the offensive line of the Colts vs the defensive line of the Titans. Jeffery Simmons and Denico Autry had big games for Tennessee last week and will have a much tougher test this week. For the Titans offense to be successful, they need to follow their blue print of riding Derrick Henry to set up the pass game for Will Levis.

Dolphins 38, Commanders 20

This score could be a bit conservative for the Dolphins offense who may put up over 50. The entire Commanders defense has been porous whether it’s the secondary or the front seven. The Dolphins defense has flown under the radar but they are starting to hit their stride. The Commanders offense continues to be careless with the ball and they are still giving up too many sacks each week. Dolphins win big in this one.

Texans 26, Broncos 23

The Broncos incredible 15 turnovers forced over the last four games has sparked their win streak. The secondary also continues to be a strong point but that will be tested against a dangerous Texans pass offense. The Texans offense can run on Denver and they should give Devin Singletary an ample amount of carries. For the Broncos offense, the athleticism and movement of Russell Wilson has been a huge part of his game recently. I think the Broncos will need more production from their offense in this one to keep up with a surging Texans offense.

Buccaneers 26, Panthers 17

The Panthers are moving forward with Chris Tabor as interim HC after firing Frank Reich earlier this week. We’ll see if they can get a boost from the change this week. The Buccaneers should look to run the ball with Rachaad White this week as Carolina struggles mightily against the run. Tampa Bay’s defense also should get back on track against one of the worst offensive lines in the league. If the Bucs can get out to a lead, they should be able to tee off on Bryce Young and get a much needed win.

Rams 20, Browns 17

The return of Kyren Williams was massive for the Rams. He revived their dormant run game and was also a big part of the pass game. The run game will be needed against a very good Browns defense. To slow down the Browns pass rush, Los Angeles needs to stay committed to running the football. The Browns have a question mark at QB right now with Dorian Thompson-Robinson in the concussion protocol and Joe Flacco potentially making his first start for Cleveland. Flacco offers more upside but it will be a tough task, especially if Amari Cooper does not play.

49ers 30, Eagles 26

In the rematch of the NFC Championship and one of the most anticipated games of the season, I think the 49ers get their revenge. The Eagles defense has been horrible lately and have been lucky to win some recent games. The 49ers have the weaponry in the pass game to continually shred the Eagles secondary. The 49ers defense has the LBs to slow down the Eagles run game and force Philly into more passing situations which will help the pass rush. It is imperative that the Eagles pass rush gets to Brock Purdy or it could be a long day for the defense.

Chiefs 23, Packers 17

Jordan Love is playing really well but now he gets a huge test against one of the league’s best defenses. It was nice to finally see Christian Watson get involved and make some big plays last week against the Lions. There might be a lot on Love and the passing game this week with both Aaron Jones and AJ Dillon uncertain to play this week. The Chiefs offense started slow but caught eventually caught fire and scored 31 points. The key to their offense remains Travis Kelce but Rashee Rice seems to be the WR Patrick Mahomes trusts most. The Packers need Rashan Gary to wreck the game again and disrupt their offense like he did last week against the Lions.

Monday, December 4

Jaguars 27, Bengals 16

Calvin Ridley has had two big games in a row after being extremely inconsistent throughout the season. That’s a big development for the Jaguars offense going forward. On the defensive side, Josh Allen is having a very underrated season and could have a huge impact in this game. The first Jake Browning start for the Bengals had some good and bad as you would expect, but the offense needs to be a lot more crisp in this game. They need to get Joe Mixon and the run game going this week to take some of the pressure off Browning.
