Ravens 30, Chiefs 23

The Ravens running game has dominated opponents all season and is one of the biggest keys in this game. Kansas City needs to do a much better job defending the run in this matchup than they did in Buffalo last week. The Chiefs have the secondary to match up against the pass game of Baltimore so it is imperative the Chiefs find ways to make plays against the run. On the opposite side, the Chiefs pass catchers had arguably their best game of the season last week against the Bills, with zero drops between them. They will need to make those plays and more against a much tougher secondary in the Ravens. Patrick Mahomes needs to be aware of the variety of blitzes sent by Baltimore and will need to extend some plays with his legs if the offense wants to be productive. Ultimately, the Ravens are better on both sides of the ball and will win an exciting game.

49ers 30, Lions 27

I trust both of these offenses tremendously and could see this game becoming a shoot out. The Lions have the perfect mix of run and pass to challenge this 49ers defense and keep them on their heels. Detroit should utilize Jahmyr Gibbs on outside runs to gash San Francisco’s defense similar to the way Aaron Jones did las week. Getting the run game going will also help the Lions play action passing work effectively. The 49ers D-line vs the Lions O-line is the biggest matchup in this game. If San Francisco can affect Goff and hit him, he is prone to make some mistakes and bad decisions. On the other side of the ball, the 49ers may not have Deebo Samuel on offense but Kyle Shanahan can still come up with a masterful game plan. The Detroit CBs are weak and have given up big plays all year, so Lions DC Aaron Glenn may want to send some blitzes like he did last week which helped shut down some drives. I trust the 49ers defense to make some more plays than the Lions defense in what ends up being a nail biter.
